Do you wake up with a sore jaw?  You may be experiencing what is called Bruxism and we have a solution for you.  Dr. Machen may recommend an appliance that can be worn during your sleep called an Occlusal Guard.  There are two different types of appliances that can be worn with the same successful results.

What does Bruxism cause?

-Cracked teeth
-Grooved,  flattened, worn down teeth

-Loose teeth
-Headaches
-Earaches
-TMJ disorder

What if Bruxism is Left Untreated?

Many people clench or grind their teeth and are unaware of doing so.  If left untreated you may experience jaw muscle and joint problems even a tooth loose.  This is one of the many reasons why Dr. Machen recommends and performs a complete exam every six months on her patients.
