Dr. Esther Machen, D.D.S.

Esther Bishop Machen, DDS, graduated from Idaho State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. After practicing as a dental hygienist for four years, she attended the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Dentistry where she graduated in June 2010. She practiced as a general dentist in Independence, Missouri prior to moving back home to Southeast Idaho in July of 2011.

While in dental school, Dr. Machen received a Presidential Citation from the Missouri Dental Association for leading the efforts to change legislation for the protection of the dental consumer in Missouri. She was awarded the American Academy of Gold Foil Operators Award and the Pierre Fauchard Academy Scholarship in 2009. In 2010, she was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. After being invited into the Honors Program in Pediatric Dentistry, she was able to complete advanced studies in the area of pediatric dentistry. Upon graduation, Dr. Machen received the Certificate of Merit from the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry for the class of 2010. Rather than just treating symptoms, Dr. Machen is an Idaho Falls dentist that believes in a comprehensive approach to dental health. She looks forward to creating long term relationships with her patients.

Dr. Jason King, D.M.D.

Idaho Falls, ID Dentist

Dr. King was born and raised in southeast Idaho. He has close ties to dentistry from an early age, and even worked as a dental assistant throughout his time in high school. After serving an LDS mission in Denmark, he attended BYU-Idaho to attain his bachelor’s degree in exercise science. He then attended dental school in Portland, Oregon at Oregon Health Science University.
Dr. King has been involved with several dental clubs including the OHSU ASDA chapter, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the OHSU student research group where he served in the presidency of that club. He worked in research of dental materials with one of OHSU’s top research faculty. Following dental school, Dr. King was selected to work in the University of Utah General Practice Residency where he honed many skills in general practice including oral surgery, endodontics, and IV sedation. He also spent many hours working with special needs patients in an O.R. setting under general anesthesia. Dr. King is very excited to put down roots in his home state and loves the opportunities Idaho will provide for work and family. He loves outdoors activities including snowboarding, hunting, camping, and fishing. But most of all, he enjoys his time with his wife and 4 children.
