Taylor graduated from BYU-Idaho with an emphasis in Healthcare Management, and also attended EITC where she received her training as a dental assistant. She has worked in the healthcare field for almost 10 years in pharmacy, insurance, and office management positions.
She grew up in Moore, ID, and has lived in Archer for the past 6 years.
After being set up on a blind date, dating for almost 3 years (two of which were spent over 1000 miles apart), she married the love of her life.
She enjoys hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, photography, teaching country dance, and trips with her husband on their road bike.
What she enjoys most about her career: “I really enjoy helping our patients navigate their insurance, and the financial aspects of dental care. It can get confusing and it is my goal to help our patients understand their options for treatment, and make informed decisions regarding their care. I love what I do, and the wonderful staff and patients I get to associate with every day!
Ashley is currently attending BYU-I where she will receive her BS in Health Science- emphasis in public health, and an AAS in Medical Assisting.
She grew up in Pleasant Grove, Utah and is the 2nd youngest of 5 kids.
She has been married to the love of her life for the past 2 years.
In her free time, she loves spending time with her husband. They love to travel, cook, and spend time outdoors, especially in beautiful Idaho! She also enjoys ballet, and all things girlie.
What she enjoys most about her career: “I love working at Machen Family Dentistry, it is such a wonderful atmosphere. Since I was a little girl, I knew that I wanted to work in the medical field. As I got older, I discovered my passion for promoting good oral hygiene and getting to interact with such great people. My hope is to share this passion with others, creating healthier lifestyles and happier days!”
Lindsay graduated from Utah College of Dental Hygiene with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. She worked as a hygienist in California before moving to Idaho, and has been working as a hygienist here for two years.
She grew up in El Dorado Hills, CA just above Sacramento, and moved to Idaho Falls so that her husband could attend ISU.
She enjoys 4-wheeling, gardening, playing piano, and cooking. She and her husband love hiking, and taking their two dogs out to play.
What she enjoys most about her career: “I love being a hygienist and helping people learn how to properly care for their mouths. I’ve always been fascinated by teeth and what goes on in the mouth. I take pride in being gentle yet thorough with my patients, and I want to make sure they understand everything I do any why. It’s all about education!”
Kealie attended Idaho State University, where she received her BS degree in Dental Hygiene. She has worked in both pediatric and general dentistry.
She grew up in Fruitland, ID, then married an army man and lived in Germany for three years. They have 4 wonderful children, and one little dog.
In her free time, she likes camping, snowboarding, sewing, soccer, and crafting.
What she enjoys most about her career: “I love being able to share my education, and what I have learned with the patients that I see. Education is a huge part of what we do as hygienists, and I pride myself on helping my patients understand the “why” behind oral hygiene. I have always noticed people’s smiles, and I really enjoy helping our patients get and keep their smiles healthy.”
Expanded Functions Dental Assistant/Office Assistant
Shelly graduated from BYU-I, and also attended ISU, and EITC where she received her training as an expanded functions dental assistant. She has been working in healthcare for almost 6 years in billing, front office positions, and as an expanded functions dental assistant.
She is originally from Canada, but has lived in Idaho Falls for over twenty years. She and her husband, Kurt, have two wonderful boys, Kegan and Karter. Kegan is currently attending BYU-I, and Karter is currently serving an LDS mission is Sophia, Bulgaria.
She enjoys spending time with her family and loves activities where they can all be together.
What she enjoys most about her career: “I love meeting new people, and helping them feel comfortable in our office. It is a great place to work because we have an awesome staff, and wonderful patients!”

Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
Ashley received her training as an expanded functions dental assistant at EITC and has been working as an expanded functions dental assistant for over 10 years.
She grew up in Idaho Falls, and has lived here her whole life.
She married Stephen, her best friend and the love of her life in 2005. They love spending time together out doors.
One of their favorite activities is camping with their Siberian husky “Sabine.” Ashley also loves hunting, fishing, and all things outdoors.
What she enjoys most about her career: “My favorite thing about being an assistant is working with our patients to help them stay happy and healthy. I love that every day is different, because each patient is different and unique. In my career I have the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people, it’s great!”
